Chaired by NoHoW Coordinator Prof. Berit Heitmann, the symposium included presentations from NoHoW researchers:

  • Dr. Elizabeth Evans presented findings from our survey in Denmark, Portugal and the UK to identify predictors of weight loss and weight loss maintenance,
  • Dr. Kirby Sainsbury presented qualitative data from the project on emotion and behavioural regulation, and motivation from successful weight losers, attempting WLM over 12-months,
  • Dr. António Palmeira described the development of the NoHoW Toolkit, and
  • Dr. Sarah Scott described the development of the NoHoW trial.

Prof. James Stubbs and Dr. Paul Sacher took part in an audience Q&A session.

Dr. Sacher also chaired a session ‘Information Technology: A cause and a tool to treat obesity’. As part of that session, Prof. Stubbs presented ‘Developing tools for weight loss maintenance: the NoHoW Toolkit’.
