NoHoW at ECO2017
NoHoW hosted a very successful symposium ‘Developing and designing evidence-based digital tools for weight loss maintenance: the Horizon-2020 NoHoW project’ at the 24th European Congress on Obesity (ECO2017) in Porto, Portugal (17 – 20 May 2017).
NoHoW Team at ECO2017
Chaired by NoHoW Coordinator Prof. Berit Heitmann, the symposium included presentations from NoHoW researchers:
- Dr. Elizabeth Evans presented findings from our survey in Denmark, Portugal and the UK to identify predictors of weight loss and weight loss maintenance,
- Dr. Kirby Sainsbury presented qualitative data from the project on emotion and behavioural regulation, and motivation from successful weight losers, attempting WLM over 12-months,
- Dr. António Palmeira described the development of the NoHoW Toolkit, and
- Dr. Sarah Scott described the development of the NoHoW trial.
Prof. James Stubbs and Dr. Paul Sacher took part in an audience Q&A session.
Dr. Sacher also chaired a session ‘Information Technology: A cause and a tool to treat obesity’. As part of that session, Prof. Stubbs presented ‘Developing tools for weight loss maintenance: the NoHoW Toolkit’.
