EASO held a Train the Trainers (TTT) course (26-28 June 2016) in Divonne-les-Bains France. 32 participants from across Europe joined to learn, collaborate, explore best practice and discuss strategies for developing projects and actions. The group included public health clinicians focused on weight-loss maintenance, and TTT participants received presentations on NoHoW relevant themes, including mTech/mHealth and stigma. Lara Palmeira from the University of Coimbra participated in this highly selective programme.
EASO then participated in and presented at the 8th Annual Scientific Conference on Hydration for Health Wednesday, 29 June 2016 in Evian-les- Bains. Lara Palmeira from the University of Coimbra attended the event.
Evidence was presented on the role of water in obesity prevention, and the largely unrecognised impact of under-hydration, which becomes increasingly problematic as percentages of adipose tissue increases.
